Extension of the obligation to wear a mask

IN THE PUBLIC SPACE – FOR PEOPLE OF 11 YEARS OLD AND MORE

Facing the surge of COVID-19 epidemic, the prime minister called to spread the more possible the obligation of wearing a mask in public spaces, in order to avoid a step backward and a new confinement.

Indeed, the epidemic situation is getting worse in France, and the incidence rate in some departments begin to come close, even surpasses warning limits. This situation can be explained by a loosening in the protection gestures.

In Somme’s department, the incidence’s rate increased the past 2 weeks, and the circulation of the virus in neighbor’s departments, particularly in the North, demands the highest vigilance.
In that respect, the prefect of Somme made an order, spreading the obligation to wear a mask in the following places, characterized by a high risk of numerous people and promiscuity:

  • Outdoors food’s markets and other markets,
  • Sell-off and garage sales,
  • Public celebrations, fairs and other public’s gatherings,
  • Street performances,
  • Cultural festivals,
  • The edge of Somme, from the bicycle road of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme in Ham to Saint-Pierre d’Amiens parc.

This order is applicable from August 15 – 8AM to the September 1 – 8AM.
